| Old Union School, established in 1996, is a private school operated under the authority of Old Union Missionary Baptist Church in Bowling Green, Kentucky. |

| OUR FACULTY AND ADMINISTRATION: |

Mrs. Laura Rector, Preschool and Kindergarten
Mrs. Laura Beth Rector attends Friendship Community Church where her husband
serves as youth pastor. She has also served as the youth director for many years
at her previous home church. She earned her BA in Elementary Education from
Western Kentucky University. In addition, she earned her Master’s Degree in
Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University. Mrs. Rector has over
seven years' teaching experience in the elementary grades, both in Warren and
Allen counties. Regarding her fifth year at OUS, Mrs. Rector explained that she
feels “… extremely blessed that the Lord has allowed me to work here in His
service.” |

Mrs. Margie Pierce, First and Second Grade
AM Teacher
Mrs. Margie Pierce, a member of Grace Baptist Church, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Bob Jones University.
Before coming to OUS, she taught in other elementary/middle schools for 12 years; in addition, Mrs. Pierce was a Head Start teacher for three years.
The 2010-2011 school year marks Mrs. Pierce's tenth at Old Union School.
She explains, "I love teaching the students at Old Union and want to see them strive to do their best and be the best that they can be." |

Mrs. Cheryl Hughes, First and Second Grade
PM Teacher
Mrs. Hughes's student teaching experience took place in Guatemala in Grades K and 3 in 1980.
She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a Kindergarten Endorsement in 1980 and Master's Degree
in Elementary Education in 1983 from Western Kentucky University. She previously taught fifth grade in Florida for one year.
During her 26 years of teaching in Warren County, Mrs. Hughes has taught these grades: 2, 3, and 4.
The 2010-2011 year is Mrs. Hughes's first year at Old Union School. |

Mrs. Jennifer Glass, Assistant Principal
Elementary/Upper Grades
Mrs. Jennifer Glass, a member of Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church, earned her degree in Education from Western Kentucky University. In addition, she has been honored as an educator in the publication Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. 2010-2011
will mark the eleventh year teaching at OUS for “Mrs. G” (as she is lovingly
referred to by her students) and her second year as an administrator. |

Mrs. Ashley Murphy, Principal
Elementary/Upper Grades
Mrs. Murphy, a member of Old Union Missionary Baptist Church, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Western Kentucky University in 2003, where she also majored in Religious Studies. The 2010-2011 school year marks Mrs. Murphy's eighth
year as a teacher at OUS and her first as Principal. In addition to her teaching at Old Union, Mrs. Murphy
has also taught physics and astronomy through Western Kentucky University's
"Super Saturday" program for gifted students. She has also been an astronomy
instructor with the Governor's Scholars Program at Bellarmine University,
and WKU's summer program for Verbally and Mathematically Precocious Youth. |

Mrs. Tina Bentley, Junior High and High School English
Mrs. Tina Bentley is enjoying her first year as a part-time teacher at OUS after 16 years of homeschooling her five children.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology
and her Associate of Arts degree in biblical studies from John Brown University, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
In addition to teaching, Mrs. Bentley is currently completing a course in writing literature for children.

Mrs. Mary Johns, High School Biology and Chemistry
Mrs. Johns, a member of Old Union Missionary Baptist Church, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Biotechnology from the University of Kentucky in 1998. In 2001, she graduated from Austin Peay State University with her Master's degree in Biology. She worked for three years as a research assistant in a microbiology and immunology lab at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. |

Mr. Derek Anderson
Junior High and High School Mathematics
Mr. Anderson received his Bachelor's Degree from Western Kentucky University, majoring in Accounting with minors in Business Administration and Economics. He previously worked at Bowling Green High for four years and taught accounting classes at Bowling Green Community Technical College. The 2010-2011 school year will be Mr. Anderson’s
sixth year at Old Union School. |

Mrs. Mary Cline, Third, Fourth and Sixth Grades
AM Teacher
Mrs. Mary Cline, a member of Old Union Missionary Baptist Church, received her
Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature and her minor in writing from Western
Kentucky University. Mrs. Cline is a graduate of Old Union School and has taught
elementary grades for five years. Mrs. Cline explains, "OUS is very special to
me and I hope to send my children here." |

Elder Mitchell Glasscock, Sr. High Bible
Mr. Glasscock received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Western Kentucky University
in 1978, majoring in Computer Science with minors in Mathematics and Physics. He
is a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1970 to 1974. He worked in the
information technology field for over thirty-two years at FMC Corporation in
Bowling Green, Peterbilt Motor Company in Madison, TN and Logan Aluminum
Inc. in Russellville, KY before retiring from Logan Aluminum in May 2010.
After serving as pastor of churches in Barren County KY - Union #2
Missionary Baptist Church and Caney Fork Missionary Baptist Church, Mr.
Glasscock is currently serving as pastor of Mt Lebanon Missionary Baptist
Church located near Old Union in Warren County. |

Elder Jerry Reynolds, U.S. History
Mr. Reynolds is a member of Old Union Missionary Baptist Church and a former pastor of 11 years from January of 1985 through December of 1995. During his pastorate, the foundations for Old Union School were laid. A Baptist preacher in his 43rd year, he has served as a church pastor in four different states, and led two church organizations as missionary. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla (now Missouri University of Science and Technology) in 1966, then completed 12 hours toward a M. S. Degree in E.E. before giving it up for the ministry. Five years of experience with Bendix Corporation and Litton Industries preceded his exit from that career. Years of experience in the building business followed as a supplement to his ministry. He has served Old Union School as a volunteer as needed, having taught in various years American History, World History, Geography, Chemistry and Biology. Mr. Reynolds has been a lifelong student and researcher of the truths of history, and is the author of Fundamental Error, a critical history of religion in America. |

Mrs. Pat Moore, OUS Board Member
Volunteer Teacher
Mrs. Moore, a member of Old Union Missionary Baptist Church, received her
Bachelor's degree in Elementary Ed, grades K-8, from Western Kentucky
University and her Master's degree as a Reading Specialist for grades K-8
from WKU. She taught two summers in Head Start and taught in the public
school systems for 27 years, retiring from Warren County System in the spring
of 1996. That fall Old Union School began its first year with five students
and two teachers, of which Mrs. Moore was a teacher and also became the
acting Principal. She taught ten years at Old Union School and was
principal for nine years, and assistant principal for one year. After
retiring from Old Union School, she has been a volunteer teacher each year
since then except for one year. Beginning in January 2010, she was elected
to the Old Union School Board by Old Union Church. |

 | Dr. Clifford Hayes OUS Board Member
Dr. Hayes, a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, recently retired from a successful forty-year dental practice. He has been attending Old Union Missionary Baptist church for over fifty years and has been an ordained deacon there since 1970. In previous school years, he taught OUS classes in the areas of history, science, and "The Life of Jesus.” Interestingly, Dr. Hayes and his wife Martha Jo reside on land that once housed the original Old Union School (1900s-1940s.) |

Mr. Dewey Glasscock
OUS Board Member
Mr. Glasscock, a Western Kentucky University graduate, retired in 2001 from U.S. Bank after 40 years of service. A consistent supporter of Old Union School, Mr. Glasscock was elected onto its board in 2005. He has been a member at Old Union Missionary Baptist Church for over forty years and an ordained deacon there since 1990. |
