Faculty and Administration

 

Old Union School, established in 1996, is a private school operated under the authority of Old Union Missionary Baptist Church in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

 

Mrs. Ashley Talbott
Pre-K

Mrs. Talbott is a member of Fairview Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, where she is an assistant in the 4-6 year old Sunday School class.  She was one of the first five students to start Old Union School in 1996, and is a graduate of OUS.

 

Mrs. Dana Moore
1st Grade

Mrs. Dana Moore is excited to begin her first year teaching first grade at Old Union. She gained classroom experience from working with elementary students in the Warren County School system for 5 years. She is a member at Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist church where she actively serves on the kitchen committee. Dana is married to Lance Moore and they have two boys and a daughter-in-law; Taylor (26), and wife Kirsten and Landon (13). Dana enjoys baking, sewing, gardening and food preservation.

 

 

 

 

Mrs. Angela Snoddy
2nd through 4th Grades

Angela Snoddy begins her second year at OUS and will be teaching elementary grades. She is a married, mother of four, who brings experience from both Simpson and Logan County schools. She was asked about coming to teach at OUS, but knew it was something she had to pray about. After visiting and meeting the children she knew that OUS was where she needed to be.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mrs. Jennifer Glass
Math and Language

Mrs. Jennifer Glass, a member of Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church, earned her degree in Education from Western Kentucky University. In addition, she has been honored as an educator in the publication Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. “Mrs. G” (as she is lovingly referred to by her students) has taught for 15 years at OUS.

 

 

 

 

 

Mrs. Mary Johns
5th through 8th Grades

Mrs. Johns is excited to return and begin her fourth year as a teacher at Old Union School! Her specialty is teaching science, although she enjoys all of the subjects. This year she will be teaching upper elementary and middle school students a coordinated reading, history, and science class that spans the time of the European Renaissance, Reformation, and age of exploration. Also she will be teaching third and fourth grade science and Pre-Algebra.  Mrs. Johns received a B.S. degree in Agricultural Biotechnology from the University of Kentucky and a M.S. degree in Biology from Austin Peay State University. She and her husband have three daughters and are members of Old Union Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Laura Gray Waugh, Principal
5th through 9th Grades
Mrs. Waugh is a graduate of Western Kentucky University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a double minor in Child Development and Family Studies. Mrs. Waugh is in her fifth year at Old Union School. Prior to OUS she spent years as a private tutor, Sunday School teacher, and volunteer teacher in art and creative writing. Her favorite subject to teach is History. She is a member at Old Union Missionary Baptist Church.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Alec Waugh
OUS Board Member

Mr. Waugh, a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, works at UBS. He was elected to the Old Union School Board by Old Union Church in 2011. He is a member at Old Union Missionary Baptist Church and licensed preacher.

 

Mr. Micah Murphy

Mr. Gerald Johns
OUS Board Member

Mr. Johns, a graduate of Tennessee Technological University with a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering, works at Bowling Green Municipal Utilities . He was elected to the OUS Board by Old Union Missionary Baptist Church in 2012. Mr. Johns is a member of Old Union Missionary Baptist Church.

 

Mr. David Carter
OUS Treasurer

Mr. Carter, a graduate of WKU with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems, works at SCA Americas. He has been a member of Old Union Missionary Baptist Church since 2003.
